Presets in AutoNotes allow you to streamline your workflow by saving sets of frequently used information that can be quickly inserted into your templates. This feature is especially useful for saving time and ensuring consistency in your documentation. This guide will walk you through how to view, create, edit, delete, and utilize presets effectively.

Accessing and Managing Presets

  • Navigate to the Presets Page:

    • Go to the Presets page to view your full library of presets. Here, you can see all the presets you’ve previously set up.

  • Edit or Delete Presets:

    • Each preset in your library can be edited or deleted if changes are needed or it’s no longer relevant. Simply click on the preset and select the edit or delete option as necessary.

Creating a New Preset

  • Add a New Preset:

    • Click the “New Preset” button located at the top right of the Presets page.

    • A popup titled "Add Preset" will appear.

  • Configure the Preset:

    • Name Your Preset: Give your preset a specific name, such as "EMDR Session", to easily identify it later.

    • Add a Description: Optionally, you can provide a description to detail the use case or other relevant information about the preset.

  • Add Key / Value Pairs:

    • Select a Key: Choose a key from the dropdown list that corresponds to the information you need, such as CPT Code, Goal, Intervention, or Diagnoses.

    • Assign a Value: Depending on the key, you may select a value from a dropdown list or enter it manually. For example, Diagnoses will have a dropdown of options, while Goals might be a free text field.

  • Insert Statements: For text field keys, you can use the lightbulb icon to insert a statement directly from your library. This links seamlessly with the Statements feature, further enhancing your efficiency.

  • Save the Preset:

    • Click the "Save" button to store your preset in the library securely.

Utilizing Presets

  • Import a Preset into a Template:

    • Open any template and click the Preset button/icon located at the top right above the template fields.

    • A popup titled "Import a Preset" will appear, showing your presets. Use the search bar or scroll through the list to find the preset you want to use.

    • Select the preset, review the key/value pairs, and adjust by selecting/unselecting any you wish to include or exclude.

    • Click the "Import" button at the bottom left. This action will fill in the fields of your template according to the preset, making your documentation process faster and more consistent.

Using presets in AutoNotes simplifies the task of filling out templates and ensures that you maintain a standard quality and format across your documents. Whether you’re documenting standard procedures or specific therapeutic sessions, presets help save time and reduce the likelihood of errors.
