Accurate note attribution is essential for maintaining organized and reliable client records in AutoNotes. This guide outlines both preventative measures to avoid misattribution and corrective actions to address errors if they occur.
Preventative Measures for Correct Note Attribution
To ensure notes are attributed to the correct client from the start, follow these steps:
Start from the Client’s Profile: Begin your session directly from the client’s profile in AutoNotes. This automatically links the note to the selected client.
Select the Client(s) before generating a note: If you are not starting from the client’s profile, make sure to manually select the correct client(s) or type in their information before generating a note.
By following these steps, you can minimize errors and ensure that notes are correctly attributed to the intended client.
Corrective Actions for Misattributed Notes
If a note or transcript has been saved under the wrong client, AutoNotes does not currently offer a direct "move" feature to reassign it. However, you can use the following workaround:
For regular Sessions:
Open the session note.
Click on Session Inputs, which is located at the top of the note.
Copy and reuse the session summary in a new session with the correct client.
For Sessions with recordings:
Download the Audio: If Recording Storage is enabled, locate the misattributed note and download the associated audio file.
Create a New Note: Navigate to the correct client’s profile and create a new note.
Upload the Audio: Upload the previously downloaded audio file to the new note. AutoNotes will generate a new transcript that is correctly attributed to the intended client.
This process ensures that the note is properly reassigned, maintaining the integrity of your client records.
By combining these preventative and corrective strategies, you can effectively manage note attribution in AutoNotes, ensuring accurate and organized client documentation.
