Viewing Your Output Formats
Go to Settings → Output Formats.
You’ll see a list of all available formats, including:
Built-in templates (SOAP, DAP, Narrative, Intake, etc.)
Formats created by your organization
Descriptions and who created each one
Click any format to open and edit it.
Creating a New Output Format
Click + Add Output Format.
You can build a format in two ways:
1. AI-Powered Build
AutoNotes generates the full structure for you.
Steps:
Click Generate With AI
Choose a note type (e.g., SOAP)
Add tone/style preferences (optional)
Add any special requirements
Click Generate Template
A complete template with sections and instructions will be created automatically.
2. Manual Build
For full control:
Click Manual Build
Add sections using Add New Section (Screenshot: clicked-add-new-section.png)
For each section, you can edit:
Section title
Instructions for AI
Reorder sections by dragging them.
Template Information
On the right-side panel, fill in:
Title (required)
Description (optional)
Global Instructions
Used in Services
Click Create Output Format to save.
Using Your Custom Output Format
After saving:
It appears under Settings → Output Formats
It becomes available inside sessions when adding notes
Your team can now generate notes using the new format.
