Editing a Session

You can update session details at any time from the Note Editor. This is useful if you need to correct the session date, adjust duration, fix a typo in the title, or change the location from Telehealth to In-Person.

1. How to Edit a Session

At the top of the Note Editor, next to the session title, click the pencil icon ✏️. This opens the Edit Session Summary modal.

2. Fields You Can Edit

Inside the modal, you can update:

  • Title

  • Date

  • Duration (minutes)

  • Start Time

  • End Time

  • Location (Telehealth or In Person)

  • Modalities Used (e.g., CBT, DBT)

All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

Any updates you make will immediately apply to:

  • The session header

  • The final documentation

  • The client’s timeline (if linked)

3. Save Your Changes

Once you’ve made your edits, click: Save Changes

The modal will close and your updated session information will appear at the top of the Note Editor.

4. Deleting a Session

At the bottom of the modal, you’ll see:

Delete Session

This permanently removes:

  • The session

  • All documents generated for it

  • Any related autosaves

  • The session entry on the client’s timeline (if linked)

⚠️ This action cannot be undone.

Users should only delete a session when it was created in error.
