Downloading a Note

AutoNotes lets you export any finalized or in-progress document as a clean, professional PDF.

1. Click on the Download Icon

Inside the Note Editor, go to the top-right of your document and click:

Download

(icon that appears next to Magic Edit and Finalize)

This opens the Configure Your Export screen.

2. Provider Details

At the top of the modal, you’ll see your provider block. This usually includes:

  • Name

  • Credentials

  • Address

These details are pulled from your account settings.

If anything is incorrect, you can update it in: Settings → Provider Details

3. Client Information

This section shows the information stored in the client’s profile, such as:

  • Name

  • Age

  • Date of Birth

  • Pronouns

  • Diagnoses (Primary, Secondary, Tertiary)

  • Progression

If something is missing or outdated, you can click Edit Client in the client panel before exporting.

You may also see an Add Field button, which lets you include any extra information relevant to this session.

4. Optional Fields & Labels

You can add additional fields that appear on the PDF, such as:

  • Session ID

  • Authorization number

  • Custom labels

  • Administrative notes

These fields help align documentation with agency or insurance requirements.

5. Signatures

At the bottom of the modal, you’ll see a Signatures section where you can:

  • Confirm or edit your provider name

  • Add credentials

  • Apply your saved signature

If you haven’t uploaded your signature yet, you’ll be prompted to add one.

6. Download the PDF

Once everything looks correct, click: Download PDF

AutoNotes will generate a polished PDF containing:

  • Your selected document (SOAP, DAP, etc.)

  • Provider details

  • Client information

  • Signatures

  • Optional fields you added

The PDF is ready for your EHR, supervisor, or billing system.
